Climate Change
Climate change disproportionately vulnerable communities, in particular young people , women and girls – those who are least responsible for it. Green Hope, therefore, works on climate justice , mitigating the impacts of climate change through the lens of human rights. We plant trees throughout the world, engage communities in waste segregation, cleanups , recycling and upcycling thereby reducing the waste that goes into landfills.
Through our advocacy and learning programmes , we engage those who have been traditionally excluded from the climate change dialogue – providing them with the knowledge to reduce their carbon footprints and changing behaviours , which has been identified by the 2018 IPCC report as a critical driver in the process of mitigating climate change.
